My husband and I bought a brand new Honda Civic Hybrid last year and have owned it for a year now. Listed below are the good and bad points:

Good Points:

Great to drive, although strange at first, because it feels like it has stalled as the engine goes into Autostop

Relatively good on fuel, we are averaging 6.5 L per 100/km

Really stylish inside, nice steering wheel – feels like a sports steering wheel, front seats mold around your body and the car comes with a lot of extra’s

Very safe car with a lot of airbags

Feels very roomy (we fitted our baby seat in the back)

Much nicer looking then the Prius and cheaper to buy

Bad Points:

Side mirrors are misleading, they make cars seem further away than they really are

Not as fuel efficient as they said in the reviews, you can not get a 1,000 km to a tank. We drive our car normally, I think when they were doing the review they must of been driving down a hill or something to get that mileage, you could possibly get 700 km to a tank

We aren’t convinced that it is anymore economical then a normal four cylinder

The back seat can not fold down because that’s where the big battery goes. So you can’t put big items in the boot

I would give the car a 7/10.
