Charlie Croker (Mark Wahlberg) is the leader of a crew of skilled super-thieves, who pull off a flawless heist to steal 35 million dollars in bars of gold in Venice, Italy. The only problem is that one of the gang Steve Frezelli (Edward Norton) double-crosses the rest of the gang and kills veteran thief John Bridger (Donald Sutherland), and makes off with the gold and assumes that the rest of the gang are dead. Croker and his former crew of thieves plan to steal back the gold and exact revenge on Frezelli for Bridger’s death, and they enlist the assistance of Stella (Charlize Theron), John’s daughter, also a skilled safe-cracker. Now the job isn’t about payment it is about payback.

• Two electric-powered Mini Coopers, and one Mini Cooper S had to be specially built for the film, since gasoline-powered vehicles are not allowed to operate in L.A.’s subway system.
• The principal actors in the movie did most of the stunt driving themselves. Whilst all of the principals needed stunt driving lessons – Mos Def needed a little more work because he didn’t have a driving license at the outset of the production.
• Lyle’s girlfriend at the end of the movie is played by Kelly Brook, Jason Statham’s actual girlfriend at the time of the movie.

Cousins Bo (Sean William Scott) and Luke Duke (Johnny Knoxville) live in Hazzard County and have been helping Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson) with his Moonshine business. These boys are always getting into trouble in their orange 1969 Dodge Charger “The General Lee” with town Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane (M.C. Gainey). With the assistance of their sexy cousin Daisy (Jessica Simpson) and Uncle Jesse they must save the Duke family farm from destruction by the town’s mean and corrupt local county commissioner Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds).

Some trivia about the movie:

• 26 Dodge Chargers were used for the making of this film. Several 1968 and 1970 Dodge Chargers were converted to look like 1969 Chargers. Only one Hemi Charger was used, the rest were 440s, 383s, and a few small block 318s.
• One of the original cars from the ’80s was used as a close-up car. It is a converted ’68 Charger wich was made to look like a ’69 and the original engine was replaced by a brand new Hemi engine. The car was used for a few close-up scenes and then sent back to Warner Bros.
• Jessica Simpson endured two-hour workouts six days a week with personal trainer Michael Alexander to get ready for her role as sexy Daisy Duke.

I like the fact that Bumblebee wasn’t a VW Beetle, the Camaro was a way better car to have. That car made the movie. The movie had a pretty good story line, lot’s of action. I would give it about a 9 out of 10.

Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky was pretty hot actor and did a pretty good job. He acted a little bit dorky, but was cute at the same time.
In this movie there is something for the girls and something for the guys. Megan Fox as Mikaela Banes was pretty hot too. Any girls watching this movie would have some major crushes on some of the actors with Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel as Captain Lennox and Tyrese Gibson as USAF Tech Sergeant Epps.

This movie is definetely worth buying on DVD and I am so glad I went to the cinema to watch it. I was not really that wrapped with the second Transformers, the story line was very thin and I am not that big of a fan of Megan Fox especially when they put her in a little pair of denim shorts on the back of motorbike, all you could see was butt. What is the deal with that? I think that was a bit tacky. The movie wasn’t about how hot is Megan Fox, it was about the Transformers.

A long time ago, far away on the planet of Cybertron, an alien civil war was being waged between the two races of robots the noble hero Autobots led by the wise Optimus Prime and the devious evil Decepticons commanded by the dreaded Megatron for control over the Allspark, a mystical talisman that would grant unlimited power to whoever possessed it. When the Autobots managed to smuggle the Allspark off the planet, but Megatron blasted off in search of it. He eventually tracked it to the planet of Earth circa 1850, but his reckless desire for power sent him right into the Arctic Ocean, and the sheer cold forced him into a paralyzed state. His body was later found by Captain Archibald Witwicky, and before going into a comatose state Megatron used the last of his energy to engrave a map, showing the location of the Allspark, into the Captain’s glasses, and send a transmission to Cybertron. The Stig

The Stig joined Top Gear in 2002, and was given his name after Jeremy noted that new pupils at his alma mater, Repton School, were named ‘Stig’. Introduced as a ‘tame’ racing driver, The Stig was originally clad in black, and was later revealed to be former Formula One driver Perry McCarthy.

Black Stig appeared in the first two series of Top Gear, but he was ‘killed off’ after driving a Jaguar off the deck of HMS Invincible and into the sea. Following his predecessor’s fictional demise, White Stig was introduced.

Other Stigs have made an appearance on the show. In episode 3 of series 9, when the boys drove across the U.S.A., the Stig’s American Cousin joined them for a spin around a racetrack. And when the intrepid threesome journeyed across Botswana in episode 4 of series 10, his African cousin turned up clad in trainers, a loincloth and his omnipresent white helmet.

The director of this awesome flick was Dominic Sena.

Randall “Memphis” Raines (Nicholas Cage) was the top car thief in Long Beach and had to walk away from his criminal lifestyle, so that he didn’t lead his brother down a wayward path. Memphis get’s dragged back to Longbeach when his brother Kip (Giovanni Ribisi) screws up a job of stealing 50 exotic cars for Raymond Calitri (Christopher Eccleston) stolen car broker. Memphis has to step in and clean up the mess his brother made. Memphis reassembles his old crew and attemps to pull of the biggest boost of his career of 50 cars by 8 AM Friday morning.

There is some excellent driving in this film with Nicolas Cage doing most of his own stunt driving for the film. To prepare for the film he attended the Bondurant Driving School in Phoenix, Arizona, Willow Springs and the Bobby Ore Stunt Driving School.

There were 7 Eleanor replicas made for use in this movie and 5 of them were totaled during stunt sequences. Nicolas Cage and Jerry Bruckheimer (the Producer) kept the remaining two. Nick will regularly take Eleanor out for joy rides while Bruckheimer is afraid of driving her.

The only true Shelby GT500 in the movie was given to Nicolas Cage’s character by Giovanni Ribisi’s character at the end of the movie. The owner allowed the vehicle to be used as long as it was returned in the original condition. Every part that could be unbolted was replaced by junk parts.

O’Connor is a cop who is into fast cars and street racing and is working undercover in the street racing scene. If the sting operation he is currently working on goes to plan and he discovers the identities of the gang who are street racers and have been hijacking trucks full of electronic goods using modified Japanese supercars, he will advance his career with the FBI. He finds that there are many possible suspects and it isn’t easy to discover who the hijackers are amongst the street racers.

O’Connor is starting to have close friendship with top street racer Dominic Toretto and is making friends with many of the street racers. He falls for Dominic’s younger sister Mia (Jordana Brewster). O’Connor suspects that Dominic and his friends may be the hijackers he is looking for. The hijackers are starting to arm themselves and are getting more dangerous. O’Connor is worried that the next hijack could end in disaster. He has to make a decision as to where his loyalties lie – with the police/FBI, or with his street racing friends.

I would give this movie about a 7/10 as the plot was a little thin, but it did have some great scenes in it. I have included a trailer below to give you a taste of what the movie is like.
