1985 Ford Falcon XF Fairmont Ghia

85 XF Fairmont Ghia, lowered and sitting on the stoppers (this was the lowest car in town for a while), electric windows, cruise control, 5 speed manual, limited slip diff, 4.1 litre EFI, velour interior, partner loved to drag and do burn outs in it, could churp it in second gear. Was heaps of fun to drive around. Check it out here: 1985 Ford Falcon XF Fairmont Ghia

That car sure did scrape going over speed bumps
Was good on the road though. Certainly more grunt than the Honda Hybrid!

nice xf well done. how long did it take to restore to that condition? how much have you kept original? l also have the same model, besides gas and stereo system l,ve tried to keep as original as posible. found her sitting in a paddock and payed $250 bucks for it and did most of the work on it myself to get it up to what it is today, previously had an s.pack the same model and only wanted the engine out of the fairmont but that all changed when a so called friend rode off the s.pack, so l used as much as l could to rebuild the fairmont (red ell ). l,ve had a fun time with the electronics, you too ?

My father resprayed the car for me. So the paint looks far better than the original.
The mags are the best looking you can get for a Ford.
Because this is a 1985 model it was leaded so we replace the head with an unleaded version and rebuilt the engine.
The car was a 4 speed manual so I took that out and replaced it with the 5 speed heavy duty version.
Most of the cables were crushed in the dash so I spent a week repairing it.
In fact most things needed repairing, replacing and modifying.
The air con, cruise control, lights, electric windows and suspension all didn’t work but I fixed everything.

Many cars would eat my dust, especially V8′s. I sold mine for $600
